Baptisms at St Margaret's usually take place once a month on Sunday afternoons .  

If you would like to arrange for your child to be baptised, please ask to speak to one of our Baptism visitors or the clergy after a service.

 

Once a date is booked then a member of the Baptism Team will visit you at home and invite you to a preparation evening (usually on a Thursday evening).  There will also be a 'Thanksgiving' ceremony for your child on the Sunday before the baptism at the main 10am service.

If you would like to be baptised as an adult, or if the child for baptism will be more than 15mths old at the time of baptism then we will make special arrangements for your or their preparation.

Enquiries for baptism are welcome from anyone living in the Parish of St Margaret's Horsforth or attending church here.  You can check your address on this website:  https://www.achurchnearyou.com/  If you live outside the Parish but have a particular connection with St Margaret's (perhaps you were married or brought up here) you may still arrange a baptism here but might need to seek the good-will of your local parish priest.  Again please speak to a member of clergy about this.
