The Leeds Symphony Orchestra will be holding a concert at St Margaret's Church on Friday 26th June 2009 at 7:30. Admission: £10.00, concessions £8.00, children FREE.
The conductor is Martin Binks, and the programme is:
- Overture: The Sicilian Vespers (Verdi)
- Ballet Music: Le Cis (Massenet)
- Concerto for Three Trumpets (Telemann)
- Soloists: David Ellis, Graham Walker, Thomas Shone
- Incidental Music from A Midsummer Night's Dream (Mendelssohn)
- Symphony No. 1 in C minor (Brahms)

St Margaret's is holding an Auction of Promises to support Building The Future in the Parish Centre on Friday, 3rd July at 7.30pm, Tickets £2.50 to include Pie and Pea Supper.
How does it work?
You offer your time, skills, a gift or an exciting or interesting experience, such as washing a car, icing a cake, home-made preserves, offering a lift, aromatherapy session, music lesson, a will drafted, pet sitting, printing party invitations on a computer, sewing, floral arrangement, a box of chocolates, ironing, an invite to dinner ……… We’re sure you’ll think of numerous others!
- By Sunday, 31st May Forms available to make promises and tickets on sale for the event.
- By Sunday 14th June Send in your promises.
- By Sunday, 21st June List of the promises on display.
- By Sunday 28th June If you are unable to attend, send in your sealed bids and the organisers will bid on your behalf.
- Friday 3rd July 2009 The promises are auctioned
by our own auctioneer, David Guest, to support Building the Future.
