We will be exploring the question of the image of Christ in art on this date, and there will be a follow-up meeting at the same time and place on Tuesday 31st January. All are welcome.

Sunday 22nd January 2012: ‘The Reader’
This film tells the story of Michael Berg, a German lawyer who as a mid-teenager in 1958 had an affair with an older woman, Hanna Schmitz, who then disappeared only to resurface years later as one of the defendants in a war crimes trial stemming from her actions as a guard at a Nazi concentration camp. Michael realizes that Hanna is keeping a personal secret she believes is worse than her Nazi past—a secret which, if revealed, could help her at the trial.

Karen’s last Sunday as Assistant Curate at St. Margaret’s will be 30th January 2011. She will then move to become Priest in Charge of Leeds All Saints with St. Philip’s, Osmondthorpe.
