The Real Junk Food Project

TRJFP Horsforth Café, which opened at St. Margaret’s for a trial period earlier in the year, has returned! Food is served on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis and you can find out more on their web site: www.therealjunkfoodproject.org

The Café is open on alternate Mondays in St. Margaret’s Parish Centre from 10am-2pm.

Harvest Worship

We have several Harvest services in October:

Thursday 6th October 10.00am
Pre-School Harvest Service

Friday 7th October 6.30pm
Harvest Worship and Supper in church.

Sunday 9th October 10.00am
Harvest Parade Service

Harvest Supper

Friday 7th October 2016 at 6.30pm in church

Family service followed by faith supper

Please sign the sheet on the notice board at the back off church to say what food you intend to bring. The supper will be a finger buffet and it would be helpful if you could bring food on a plate or in a dish ready to put onto the table.

Harvest Celebrations

One of the features of our 'Harvest Celebration' is to decorate our Church with beautiful flowers and fruit etc.

DONATIONS would be VERY welcome to help us continue the tradition at St. Margaret's. Please give your monies to Margaret Staines, Jan Smith, Diane Child or a Church warden.

ABBEYLANDS QUIET DAY

Saturday October 15th

A day of peace and quiet reflection led by Rev Sharon Brown in the lovely setting of Norwood Edge Retreat Centre.

Signing up sheets and more details on the Parish Centre table.

AUCTION OF PROMISES

There will be an Auction of Promises on Friday 14th October, 7pm in the Parish Centre.

Tickets are £2.50 and will include a ‘Pie and Peas’ supper.

Sheets will be available at the back of Church if you wish to participate.

SABBATICAL

During Nigel’s Sabbatical, Sharon will be taking on the lead role of ‘parish priest’ and running the Parish along with the Churchwardens, Joanne & Linda.
Nigel will be back on Advent Sunday

BRIC-A-BRAC SALE

Horsforth in Bloom are having a bric-a-brac sale at Central Methodist on 1st October at 10am. Donations of good quality bric a brac would be welcome. Please contact Penny on 07950 683404 from 26th September if you would like it collected.
