Sunday News Sheet
Are you on the rota for making coffee after the Sunday morning service? Does your team need another member? Or do you feel that you have done your bit and it is now time to retire? Please let Diane Childs (tel: 2161844) know of any changes which you would like to make. And if you are not on the rota, would you like to join? The commitment is to make coffee every 8-10 weeks as part of a team of 2 or 3 people. Contact Diane if you would like to help.

Readings: Isiah 11:1-10, Matthew 3:1-12
Almighty God, purify our hearts and minds, that when your Son Jesus Christ comes again as judge and saviour we may be ready to receive him, who is our Lord and our God.
Father in heaven, who sent your Son to redeem the world and will send him again to be our judge: give us grace so to imitate him in the humility and purity of his first coming that, when he comes again, we may be ready to greet him with joyful love and firm faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

HORSFORTH FOOD BANK
Thanks to all who have brought items for the first load now in the warehouse. Please continue bringing food in December for our 'Christmas load'.
BISHOP JOHN'S RETIREMENT
Bishop John retires in the New Year. Today is the last day for you to make a contribution to a present for him A collection plate is available at the back of church.
As an alternative to sending Christmas cards to your friends in Church, why not sponsor the floodlighting for 25th December. Names will be displayed at the back of Church where sponsor forms are also available.
PARKING IN THE CHURCH GROUNDS
Until further notice, because the ground is so wet, please do not park on the grass in the Church grounds. This not only saves the grass but also cuts down the amount of mud being trodden into the Parish Centre. Parking is available on the road around the Church and in the Training Centre car park. The disabled spaces and hard standing spaces are not affected.
WEDDING DRESSES THROUGH THE AGES
Do you have a wedding dress that you might wish to include in an exhibition next year? If so, please contact Eunice Glover (226 7757)
