THE REAL JUNK FOOD PROJECT
The Real Junk Food Café is here on Monday 19th June. For an 8-week trial period the Cafe will run every Monday in June and July in St Margaret’s Parish Centre from 10am-2pm. There is no Café in the school summer holidays, but the Cafe will return in September.
Food at The Real Junk Food Café is served on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis. You can find out more on their web site: www.therealjunkfoodproject.org
CAFÉ DATES IN JUNE/JULY
July: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
If anyone is having a spring clear out of their kitchen cupboards they are always grateful for donations of any unwanted food, even if it's past it's ‘best before’ date.
At the end of each Café, some of the left over food is given to families for their tea - if you have any spare plastic containers with lids in which the food could be placed, please bring them and pass them to a Church Warden.
Volunteers are required to take the tea towels home and wash and press them after each Café - if this is something you would be willing to do, please speak to a Church Warden.
