Almighty God, whose only Son has opened for us a new and living way into your presence: give us pure hearts and steadfast wills to worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

POST COMMUNION PRAYER

Lord God, the source of truth and love, keep us faithful to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, united in prayer and the breaking of bread, and one in joy and simplicity of heart, in Jesus Christ our Lord.

St Margaret's Church Mission Statement 2008

The Vision of St. Margaret’s Church is:

  • To be a vibrant Christian community, worshipping God and being nourished and challenged spiritually;

CONFIRMATION

We are planning a Cluster/Team Confirmation Service for Sunday 6th February 2011. Classes for adults and young people ( you need to be in Year 7 or above at school) will begin around November. If you are thinking about Confirmation or would like to know more please see Rosemarie or Karen.

BOX OPENING AND COFFEE MORNING

This Saturday, 11th September, from 10.00am - 12 noon in the Parish Centre.

Sales Table and Raffle. Entry £1.

‘SERIOUS HARMONY’entertain us again

This Saturday, 11th September at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre.

A lively evening of songs and monologues and a chance to sing along. Tickets - £5 - to include light refreshments now available from Jean & Harry Rhodes or the Social Events Group.

OPEN GARDEN

Greta Earnshaw has had her garden re-designed. Please come and have a look on Sunday 19th September from 2.00 - 4.00pm at 16 Victoria Crescent, Horsforth. Cream teas will be served. Admission £2. All monies raised will be given to the Martin House Hospice.

SAFARI SUPPER - SATURDAY 25th SEPTEMBER

beginning at 6.45pm with Starters in the Parish Centre then on to your two mystery venues before returning to the Parish Centre for coffee. Please get in touch with Social Events Group ( 226 7757) before 1st September if you intend to come.

CAR SHARE/CAR FREE SUNDAY

To help organise the car sharing there is a box at the back of Church. Please fill in the GREEN slip if you will NEED a lift to Church on that Sunday or a YELLOW slip if you need to use your car and can OFFER someone else a lift.
